Actually there are two game histories, the history of running the game and of what happened during the game. The former is the shorter. Dave Clay began improving the “60^th Anniversary Replay” campaign to launch in 2004 what became to be known the “WW2 Open War” game. Dave quitted umpiring end of 2006 to concentrate on his new WW1 campaign game, and Jens took over the job. But now to what happened all these years:

April 1943

· Gibraltar laid to siege, almost captured.

· Hitler appoints new Armaments Minister.

· RAF inflicts heavy damage upon Ruhr area.

· Germans capture Kalinin.

· Partisans ambush troop train.

March 1943

· America declares war upon Germany, Italy and Japan.

· Athens falls to Italy.

· Romanian government crisis.

· Japanese port strike on Brisbane.

· Japan conquers Anshan.

February 1943

· French Fleet destroyed.

· British bombardment of more targets in Occupied France.

· Japanese Navy raids Indian Ocean.

· Finnish advance in Karelia stalls.

January 1943

· America mobilizes.

December 1942

· Great Britain and U.S.A. sign Atlantic Charter.

· Russia defends Crimea, drives off Romanian tanks.

· Germany takes Smolensk and Stalingrad.

· China closes ring around Hongkong.

· Italy invades Patras by sea.

August 1942

· Russians withdraw to bunker line around Moscow.

· China conquers Canton and pushes towards Wuhan.

· German offensive against Cadiz stopped.

· Winter sets in throughout Europe, grounding all major air operations.
